What are the benefits of doing crunches on an exercise ball versus flat on the floor? - benefits of floor wipers exercise

Everyone tells me it is better to make the ABS on an exercise ball instead of on the ground, but nobody seems to know why.

if u do crunches on the floor with the straight muscles only, but if you at a ball, with your entire database and can provide improved muscle contraction.
